At Topia GreenStop we beileve that small changes can make a big difference. We belive that change should be easy and we believe that together we can chnage the world. I have to admit that when I first joined Team Topia I wasn't very green. Slowly, without even realising it, I started to make small - easy changes. I still have along way to go, but the chanes I've made have stuck and better than that, it's "just the way we do things" for my kids! Here are some of the easy changes I've made:
- Poop and Scoop - instead of using plastic bags to clean up after our two dogs, we use Poop-ease bags. They are 100% biodegradeable, can hold lots of "product" and they have a nice baby powere scent to them - making the scooping a little less unpleasant. They are inexpensive and easy to find.
- Grocery Bags - now that I have biodegradeable poop bags I have no use for plastic grocery bags! Like a lot of people out there, I have switched to cavas bags for carrying my groceries. I also use them for carrying my lunch, my contribution to the "pot luck" and even an extra pair shoes - a girl can never have too many!
- Coffee - I love my coffee, anytime, anywhere - it is one of my favourite beverages (tied for first with red wine). I have discovered coffee made from free-trade, shade grown coffee beans. The taste doesn't compare - try it , you'll love it!
