About Ethanol

Ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel made by fermenting and distilling crops that have been broken down into simple sugars. Most, but not all ethanol is made from corn crops. Unlike gasoline, ethanol is nontoxic (safe to handle) and biodegradable, it quickly breaks down into harmless substances if spilled. Because ethanol is made from crops that absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You can safely use a 10% blend with no engine modification requirements.
